Working Principle of Solar Water Heater

• Solar water heating (SWH) is heating water by sunlight, using a solar thermal collector.
• The collecting surface absorbs solar energy and heats the water that circulates in the water element.
• The water when heated becomes lighter and is directed to the water storage tank where it heats the water.
